概述∶
对多字节字符集的附加支持．
修复了混合字节序的服务器和客户端环境的支持．
对允许的 SQL 语法进行了小的升级．
改善了安装过程的配置自动侦测功能．
对那些运行着6.3版本的应用不需要进行倾倒/恢复操作． 升级工作只需要简单的 'make distclean'，'make'，和 'make install'．最后一步应该在 postmaster 没有运行时进行． 升级后你应该对所有使用 PostgreSQL 库的用户应用重新 进行连接．
